Mickelson Trail Affiliates

Mickelson Trail Affiliates was developed to help visitors coming
to the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota find amenities
along the George S. Mickelson Trails.

The George S. Mickelson Trail, in the heart of the Black Hills was completed in September of 1998. Its' gentle slopes and easy access allow people of all ages and abilities to enjoy the beauty of the Black Hills. There are more than 100 converted railroad bridges and four hard-rock tunnels along the trail. Much of the trail passes through the National Forest Land, but there are parts of the trail that pass through privately owned land where trail use is restricted to the trail only. It is vital to the future of the trail that users respect the land and others on the trail.

Using the Mickelson Trails Affiliates Website proved to be a huge time saver. Anyone getting ready to plan a trip to the Mickelson Trail better check it out first. The troop was able to find campsites and local points of interest. I don't think our trip would have been the success it was without the information we got from the website. A big thanks from our troop for putting this online.
